Mysore Race Club Eye Hospital Academics

DNB in Ophthalmology :
Hospital teaching programme, recognized by national Board of Examinations, New Delhi for training post graduate students in ophthalmology. Those with DOMS and MBBS qualification get post graduate degree in ophthalmology after 2 and 3 years course followed by final examination at the national level respectively.

These post graduate students are given good academic and clinical training by qualified ophthalmologists of the hospital. They are exposed to seminars, clinical case presentations, journal clubs etc., & they also get to learn many operative procedures. They participate at district & state levels in paper presentation, poster competition in state level conferences etc... Library facility available which is furnished with more than 250 books, well known national and international journals & interactive and video materials. This helps our Doctors & PG students to keep well versed with the recent advances in the academic field. Students have access to multimedia projection system with internet connection.

Lions Club International

The Lions Club International Foundation has liberally donated US $ 66695 for the development of this hospital under project SF-732. As a part of this fund, the first installment of US $ 44640 (Rs.21,83,362) was released in 2003 and the remaining part of the fund was released in 2005 out of which Ophthalmic equipments required for the hospital were purchased.
